Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) rechargeable batteries with Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) technology are based on a lead dioxide system, with a dilute sulfuric acid electrolyte absorbed and immobilized within the separators and plates. In the event of overcharging, which may generate hydrogen and oxygen gases, integrated one-way safety valves allow controlled gas release to prevent excessive pressure buildup. Under normal operating conditions, the battery remains fully sealed - ensuring maintenance-free, leak-proof performance and enabling operation in any orientation.
